  • Slip-on oxfords with a new monk strap design
  • Hand-carved and lacquered mahogany wood accents
  • Fully lined in calfskin
  • Soles in leather and rubber
  • Model DV013 has hand-carved mahogany components that are bleached, then coloured
  • It’s a monk-strap shoe made from a combination of three different skins: full grain calf, vegetable dyed nubuck and suede
  • The upper is treated with a special polish finishing to create a beautiful dark dégradé near the sole
  • The accents are made from mahogany, a noble wood famous for its use in high-end furniture. Our mahogany comes from a sustainable plantation. Each component is entirely hand-carved by some of the world’s best wood artisans from Java. The base curvature of each piece follows the natural angles of the foot and their various sizes are made in proportion to the size of the shoe
  • The lacquering process is entirely done by hand and is incredibly time consuming. The application is done by coating the wood in dust thin layers of material. The lacquer is sprayed layer upon layer and left to dry. Then the surface is sanded with superfine sand paper and lacquered again. The process is repeated until obtaining a solid high gloss. The components are then buffered for a piano-like finish
  • DV002 is entirely lined in super soft calfskin leather
  • Vanassibaras will never smell unpleasant. Our shoes are mounted on a breathable raw leather insole which naturally absorbs excessive sweat from the feet. That’s an old technique that only true luxury brands can afford
  • The sole is hand-made too. DV013 has a double leather structure, which is mounted onto a comando rubber sole
  • DV013 uses three distinct leathers. Although they are different in their aspect, they require similar care
  • To avoid stains from liquids and dirt, we recommend the use of a leather protective spray that helps to keep dirt away and serves as a water repellent
  • We would advise against the use of any cleaning products containing solvents, which might affect the surface finishing on the leather
  • Gently wipe the product with a soft damp cloth and allow to air dry away from direct heat
  • Avoid contact with liquids containing alcohol or solvents, as this will cause irreversible damage to the surface of the leather
  • Should be stored away from humidity and sources of heat
